I’m traumatized after a man ripped off my wig — there’s demons in NY

Now this is truly a hair-raising encounter.

An NYC singer is virally blowing the whistle on a man who allegedly yanked a green wig off of her head while passing her by on a city street.

“Sir! For what f – – king reason?!” yelled Brooklyn musician Lizzy Ashliegh in a trending TikTok clip, captured seconds after the alleged assault.

“This man just took off my wig and kept on walking,” she penned in the closed caption of the post, which has scared up more than 437,000 views. “There’s demons in NY, I swear.”

In the video, Ashliegh, an aspiring rapper, is seen questioning the man — who numerous social media sleuths claim is a Manhattan lawyer — about wrongfully removing her hairpiece.

The Post reached out for comment from the alleged attacker, who did not immediately respond.

Ashliegh also did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Lizzy Asleigh, a singer from Brookly, virally shared TikTok footage of the man she claims ripped off her wig in New York City.

“For what reason did you take my wig off?” screamed Ashleigh, gripping the emerald-hued tresses in her hand while the man, who appeared to cut a smile, attempted to avoid her query.

“What made you think that was the good thing to do?” she continued. “Why’d you do that? What makes you think that that’s OK?”

“It’s not funny,” said Ashliegh, noting her purported attacker’s smug grin. “You don’t even f – – king know me. “Do you hate women or something?”

Per the footage, the guy’s friends seemed to try persuading him to apologize.

However, he fiendishly refused to acknowledge the offense, repeatedly asking, “[Apologize] For what?”

Unofficial social media investigators believe that they have positively identified Ashleigh’s alleged attacker.

The apparent attack is similar to one suffered by a Brooklyn woman whose hair was grabbed by a man in an unprovoked ambush in 2021.

And in 2018, authorities apprehended a man who was violently tearing off the wigs of orthodox Jewish women in California.

Prior to being arrested, the anti-Semitic antagonist had accosted three women in Northern Hollywood, sarcastically yelling, “Oh, I’m sorry,” at his final victim before hurling her wig to the ground.

In Ashleigh’s instance, stunned TikTok audiences were taken aback by her alleged bully’s wanton lack of remorse.

“It’s the fact his friend kept trying to make him apologize … I know they were so embarrassed to be with him,” wrote a concerned commenter, in part.

“That’s assault, press charges,” urged a viewer.

“He literally HURT you all you wanted was an explanation or at least an apology … ” said another.

Ashleigh said that her attacker forcefully pulled her wig off, possibly causing injury to her neck.

In a subsequent post, Ashliegh explained that the wig was attached to her real hair via stabilizing combs that had been sewn into the headpiece.

When the wig was yanked off, the action also pulled her natural strands and caused trauma to her neck.

“I called the police and I [filed] a report,” said Ashleigh.

“I went to the doctor … the doctor said my neck area is very tense,” she added, revealing that her physician prescribed her a muscle relaxer to remedy the pain.

Outraged social media watchers urged Ashleigh to report the incident to the man’s employer, file a complaint with New York City bar association and sue him for damages.

In a video shared Monday, Ashleigh thanked supporters for their suggestions, saying, “I did every single thing that certain people have told me to do.”

“Tuesday, I will take action.”
