An influencer who demanded a refund after canceling her honeymoon due to Covid concerns has tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.
Jadé Tuncdoruk, 27, married her partner of four years Lachie Brycki, 29, in a ceremony at Krinklewood Vineyard, in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
Jadé wore a J. Andreatta dress, with a white silk floor-length gown featuring a Marilyn Monroe-esque neckline.
The pair were surrounded by a stack of their friends and family, with many rushing to wish the couple congratulations.
Former reality star Bella Varelis said, “The most ethereal day, watching my best friend marry the love of her life and get her happily ever after. Honored to be your bridesmaid, I love you Jadé.”
While Keep It Cleaner co-founder Steph Claire Smith, who couldn’t be at the wedding after she and her family contracted Covid, said, “Congratulations guys! So so absolutely shattered we couldn’t make it.”
“Haven’t stopped thinking about the both of you. Hope you had the most incredible time.”
Tammy Hembrow, Flex Mami, and Martha Kalifatidis also wished the couple congratulations on tying the knot.
It wasn’t an easy path to the couple’s special day, after issues regarding their original honeymoon date.
Jadé, who boasts almost 500,000 followers on Instagram, took to the social media platform in January explaining that she put down a $2000 deposit with premium holiday rental company Weekenda last year.
However, in August she canceled due to Covid concerns. In a now-deleted post, Jadé told followers the couple requested a refund, “but they said the best they could do was put it back up online to be booked by someone else”.
Her followers then bombarded the small company with complaints until they relented and offered her a full refund.
Weekenda’s CEO and founder Pete Smith defended his actions and accused the influencer of being “very demanding and threatening” to his staff.
Emails obtained by Daily Mail Australia revealed how Jadé threatened to take Weekenda to Fair Trading if she didn’t receive her money back in full – despite the company’s terms and conditions stating customers aren’t entitled to a refund if they decide to cancel their stay.
Weekenda then gifted the weekend to one of their followers, after explaining how hard Covid had impacted their business.
