Jake Browning’s wife Stephanie shares sobering Chargers reality check after QB signing

The winless Chargers signed veteran quarterback Jake Browning to their roster on Tuesday.

Browning is in his fourth season, the first three of which were spent as Joe Burrow’s backup with the Bengals. He signed with the Buccaneers this past offseason but never competed for them.

Now he’ll be behind Justin Herbert for an 0-5 Chargers team that has disappointed in all facets this season.

Browning’s wife, Stephanie Niles Browning, has managed to become one of the NFL’s most prominent WAGs, despite her husband not being a starter. Much of this is owed to her unique and eye-catching outfits for games.

Browning made a TikTok post on Tuesday that showed her excitement about being in Los Angeles.

“Oh, my god, I feel like my life is literally a series of, ‘You cannot make this s–t up,’” she said while news clips of Browning’s Chargers signing were shown on the screen.

Niles Browning then spoke about how “crazy” it is that her husband joined the Chargers, given all of the opportunities living in Los Angeles (her “favorite place on Earth”) will mean for her own influencer career.

“Jake could get cut tomorrow, but I have learned so much in the past few months about myself and where I wanted to take this. I figured that out all by myself, and now we get to live in a city where I can work on my own things,” she said.

She isn’t wrong about Browning potentially getting cut at any point, as the Chargers’ quarterback position is crowded with Trey Lance and DJ Uiagalelei.

But it’s still interesting to hear her deliver a brutally honest reality check about his precarious standing while also being excited about heading to Los Angeles.
