John Boyega is done with ‘Star Wars’

When asked on SiriusXM’s “Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang,” he said, “At this point I’m taking it cool. I’m better than that.” Will he play the character again?

Finn, Boyega said, “is at a good confirmation point where you can enjoy him among other things.”

“Games, animation,” he said. “but I think so ‘[Episode] VII’ to'[Episode] IX’ was good for me.”

The actor’s path now is “versatility”, he said. Boyega appears in the upcoming films “Breaking” and “The Woman King”.

Some fans of the “Star Wars” franchise experienced by him and being the target of racism by “Obi-Wan Kenobi” star Moses Ingram also came to the fore.

Boyega described how Disney handled the situation with Ingram.

“The safety of Moses Ingram makes me feel safe,” he said. “It makes me feel like, ‘Okay, cool. I’m not the elephant in the room.’ Because when I started, it wasn’t really a conversation that you could bring up.”
