Josie Canseco — a Victoria’s Secret model and the daughter of ex-MLB star Jose Canseco — is one of the many devastated by Presley Gerber’s passing over the weekend.
Josie shared an image of Gerber on her Instagram Stories late Sunday evening and penned an emotional note to the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber who shockingly died at 27 years old just hours before.
“Love you Pres,” Josie wrote in her social media post. “Doesn’t feel real.. you deserved better than this, I’m so sorry it all got to this point.. we’ll miss you forever.”
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stated on Sunday that Presley died at a rehabilitation facility, though a cause of death has not yet been determined. It added that the Santa Monica Police Department is the agency leading the investigation.
Presley’s family is under the impression that he passed from an overdose, according to TMZ.
Josie and Presley were close through their ties to the modeling world, but they also grew a strong connection after Josie’s friend, Charlotte D’Alessio, dated Presley in the late 2010s.
In a statement following the news of Presley’s death, the Gerber-Crawford family asked for “privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
