She’s never had a “stronger” reaction.
Kelly Clarkson’s racy response to a female fan’s poster which claimed that she was the fan’s “hall pass” went viral on Saturday.
According to a post on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, the encounter took place during Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theatre.
During one moment of audience interaction, Clarkson, 41, can be seen walking across the stage to read the sign.
“My girlfriend gave me a hall pass for you,” read the “Since U Been Gone” singer, who was dressed in a shimmering green and black jumpsuit with a black blazer.
The already excited crowd erupted into screams and applause at that moment as the singer appears to engage the woman in conversation.
“If I was into chicks, I’d take up the offer,” said the songstress over the roar of the crowd.
As Clarkson and her smiling bandmate begin to move off stage, the “Because of You” singer turned back to the woman and offered a very sassy reply.
“I just unfortunately like dicks,” snarked Clarkson.
Several fans online went wild at the remark.
“Kelly and I have *soo much* in common,” laughed one user.
“Kelly, I’m sure we can work out a mutually satisfying situation,” joked another.
“Me too Kelly,” giggled a third person. “hahaha popstars, they’re just like us! I am loving the fact that Kelly Clarkson in her 40s is more unfiltered than ever congrats on the successful residency. “
Clarkson’s sold-out residency, which runs through August 19, comes after the former “American Idol” winner dropped her scathing breakup album, “Chemistry,” following her very public divorce from ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
According to the songstress, she told Blackstock, 46, about the album prior to its release.
“I don’t even remember why or how it happened, but I was like, ‘Hey, I didn’t just diminish us down to one [thing],’” she explained.
“‘You know what I’m saying? It’s all in there, the ride. The beauty is in there, as well. Now there’s a lot of pain, but that’s what happens for all of us.’”
The Las Vegas residency is not the only big thing happening for the singer.
Earlier this year, Clarkson revealed that she plans to move “The Kelly Clarkson Show” from Los Angeles to New York so she and her family can get a “fresh start.”
“Covid pointed out [that] being isolated and so far from your family… that’s not good for anyone,” said the “Breakaway” songstress while appearing on Nancy O’Dell’s “TalkShopLive”. “And my family is East Coast, they’re North Carolina-based.”
