Kiara Advani and Shahid Kapoor graced the occasion coffee In this week’s episode, Couch and the duo ensured that the show was full of fun with its funny, heartfelt and quirky revelations and stories. One of the things that came out in the public domain on the show was that Kiara had a role in her Netflix project stories of lust It was first offered to Kriti Sanon. Karan Johar directed his short film in the anthology which starred Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. In the film, Kiara’s character Megha has an orgasm in front of the entire family and Kiara was praised for her acting skills and the way she pulled off that particular part.
Talking about the film and how it made Kiara stand out as an actor in the series, Karan Johar revealed that he found it difficult to find someone to play the role. He said that he had first offered the part to Kriti Sanon.
Karan said, “I had offered this role to Kriti Sanon… and she said that her mother didn’t allow her.”
Karan continued, “I thought everyone’s mother would stand in line, not allow their daughters. It’s actually a very empowering story. It’s about a woman’s right to enjoyment. So I met Kiara at Manish Malhotra’s house, and I saw her, I knew of course, I knew her then as Aaliya Advani… so I met her and I asked if you could come tomorrow and ask me Might meet, it’s for a short film. She came and she heard it and then she got a little zoned out.
“She said, are you directing this? I said yes. Then she said, yes! I am!” Kiara then admitted that she did the film because Karan was directing it. “I have to say that when I signed the film, I only wanted to work with Karan Johar,” he said.
stories of lust Was released on Netflix in 2018. The anthology film consists of four short films, each directed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Karan Johar.
