Jonathan Majors is a major part of Season 2 of “Loki,” opposite star Tom Hiddleston — despite getting arrested for alleged domestic violence, for which he has an impending trial.
In March, Majors, 34, was arrested for allegedly choking his girlfriend in a domestic dispute.
The actor — who was freed without bail — has maintained his innocence, claiming it was his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who attacked him, and he was trying to get away from her.
Jabbari, 30, was allegedly left with injuries on her head and neck. Majors filed his own domestic violence charges against her for the altercation, claiming she scratched and hit him while she was drunk.
The Marvel actor’s trial on domestic assault has been postponed until Oct. 25.
Speaking to Variety about the Disney+ show, executive producer Kevin Wright explained why they didn’t consider paring back Majors’ role in the series, amid the controversy surrounding the “Creed III” actor.
“No,” said Wright, referring to the fact that the show did not consider changing Majors’ role.
“And that mainly came from — I know as much as you do at the moment. It felt hasty to do anything without knowing how all of this plays out.”
However, even though Majors’ trial has been postponed, he was accused of further abuse in a Rolling Stone exposé published in June, in which a dozen sources spoke of his alleged mistreatment of exes.
Nine insiders claimed that the Marvel actor subjected one unnamed girlfriend to “really extreme abuse, physically and mentally” — even alleging that he strangled her.
Another former partner reportedly called her relationship with Majors, “emotional torture,” with sources citing examples of diet control and wall punching.
Amid this news, Majors is still in the time-jumping romp “Loki” Season 2, with Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and new cast member Ke Huy Quan. Majors plays the villain He Who Remains.

This isn’t the first time that Marvel has taken a gamble on a star with a bevy of legal woes and serious allegations. “The Flash” featured Ezra Miller, 31, in the title role, despite a slew of international crime allegations against the actor, including burglary and harassment.
That didn’t work out so well for “The Flash,” as it had a staggering 72% drop at the box office after its opening weekend.
