Ironically, Guadagnino opted to cast Armie’s onscreen love interest Timothée Chalamet as Hammer instead of Bones and All as man-eating drifter Lee, whose cannibalism scandal broke out in January 2021.
In House of Hammer, divorced father-of-two accusers Courtney Vusekovic and Julia Morrison revealed how he seduced them into excessive S&M sexual activity, leaving them both injured.

Ravens Couple on the Run: Bones and All also features Taylor Russell (R), Mark Rylance, Chloe Sevigny, David Gordon Green and Francesca Scorsese.
The road film, set in the eighties, will have its world premiere at the 79th Venice International Film Festival in Italy on September 2 and release in US cinemas on November 23.
Guadagnino explained, ‘My true hope is that the audience doesn’t reject the film as provocation because it deals with taboos like cannibalism.
‘With Bones and All, I wasn’t interested in shock value at all, which I hate. I was interested in these people. I understood his moral struggle very deeply. I understood what was happening to them. I am not there to judge anyone. If you’re in conflict with them, you can make a film about cannibals, and you’re not codifying cannibalism as a subject or a tool of terror.’
