Madonna was spotted walking in New York City one day before she was found unresponsive in her home and rushed to a hospital to be treated for a bacterial infection.
In pictures obtained Friday by The Post, the “Vogue” singer, 64, stood outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her personal assistant and a dancer after visiting the Karl Lagerfeld Exhibit on Friday, June 23.
She kept a low profile in a comfy, all-black comfy ensemble, accessorized with black sunglasses, a black baseball cap and a white pair of Nike Air Max sneakers.
Just one day later, the “Like a Prayer” icon was admitted into an NYC hospital where she was intubated overnight.
Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, shared on Instagram Wednesday that his client had “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.”
The singer’s oldest daughter, Lordes Leon, 26, has reportedly been by her superstar mother’s bedside throughout the entire ordeal.
Her sons Rocco Ritchie and David Banda have since been spotted leaving her NYC apartment, as Madge is now back home and recovering.
Oseary previously stated that she was expected to make a full recovery but it’s been reported that the “Material Girl” is still severely ill and bedridden since being released from the hospital.
It’s still unclear what kind of bacterial infection Madonna developed.
Due to the health scare, the gay icon has postponed her 53-stop “Celebration” tour, which was supposed to kick off in Vancouver on Jul. 15.
It was previously reported that Madonna had been putting in 12-hour days at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale in preparation for the tour.
One of her friends told Page Six that was pushing herself to her limits as she performed alongside dancers who are “a fraction of her age and without her history of injuries.”
“Of course, there are other acts older than her still on the road, but they aren’t dancing and performing like she does,” they claimed.
“She knows how much her fans been looking forward to this retrospective tour — it’s sold out around the world — and she wanted to give them her best,” the friend said.
“Seeing how well the tickets had sold had really motivated her because it showed how much people wanted to see her.”
