Meghan Markle’s estranged friend Jessica Mulroney seems to also have connections to the royal family.
The fashion stylist, 43, shared a throwback photo recently of her mother-in-law, Mila Mulroney, posing alongside the then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the 1990s.
Jessica is married to Ben Mulroney, who is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
The PM hosted the former Prince and Princess of Wales back in the day in the maple country’s capital Ottawa.
Brian and Mila also welcomed the late Queen Elizabeth II at a 1987 dinner in Vancouver, with Ben, 47, in attendance as a young child.
Jessica and the “Suits” alum, 42, became best friends in 2011 while the two were working in Toronto.
The marketing consultant also made an appearance at Markle’s 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, where her three children, Ivy, John and Brian, were page boys and flower girl.
Her relationship with Markle, however, has seemingly dwindled in the last few years.
In 2020, the Canadian native was accused of showing “white privilege” amid the Black Lives Matter movement, which allegedly cause a rift between the two.
An insider claimed at the time to The Sun: “Meghan has forsaken her most loyal friend just to look woke.”
“Jessica’s team have made it clear that she feels completely ditched by Meghan and fears she is going to cut her out of her life for good,” the source said.
“She’s completely distraught and devastated because Meghan has done nothing to stand up for her publicly,” they added. “It’s a brutal blow after a 10-year friendship. Jessica has been there for Meghan through thick and thin.”
Later that year, Jessica addressed rumors of a feud on social media.
“I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me everyday,” she wrote in her Instagram story, according to People.
“Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it,” she went on. “Done.”
A separate source told Page Six in 2020: “I don’t know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for some time. Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?”
