Meghan Markle’s series ‘Suits’ smashes watch record 4 years after finale

Meghan Markle’s hit legal drama “Suits” is experiencing a new life on Netflix — four years after its series finale.

The USA Network show was added to the steamer on June 23 and reached a record-breaking viewership number.

For the week of June 26 to July 2, “Suits” had 3.14 billion minutes of watch time, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

It took over the top spot from the supernatural series “Manifest,” which had 2.49 billion minutes of viewing.

Before retiring from acting in 2018 to marry husband Prince Harry, Markle, 41, had her breakthrough performance in “Suits.”

She starred as paralegal Rachel Zane for seven seasons, from 2011 until mid-2018.

The series, which concluded in 2019, followed the lives of lawyers working together in the Big Apple and also featured Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams and Gina Torres in lead roles.

Markle and Harry, 38, signed a $100 million agreement in 2021 to create shows and other content with Netflix.

The pair dropped their bombshell docuseries “Harry & Meghan” on the streaming service late last year, where it hit a total of 81.6 million hours watched.

However, the show failed to score any Emmy nominations when they were announced earlier this month.

While at first, the duke and duchess were reportedly “devastated” by the lack of nods, they are moving on.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward recently claimed that the couple was upset when they primarily heard about the nominations.

“But of course they will not show it,” the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine told the Mirror. She added that the viewership numbers were “obviously not good enough for an Emmy nomination.”

“Meghan and Harry will concentrate in this and make it a positive, however irritated they might be not to be in the Emmy nominations,” Seward continued.

“They are having a run of bad luck in their working life. But ironically as long as they concentrate on delivering personal stuff instead of more serious work, people will be interested,” she said.

Markle and Harry are now “focusing on future projects” following the Emmy snub, according to a Hollywood publicity expert.

PR to the Stars maven Mayah Riaz dished to The Mirror on July 15 that the rebuff has “no impact on their career.”

“Harry and Meghan didn’t get an Emmy nomination. It might have been disappointing but that’s all it is, disappointing. Not the end of the world,” Riaz divulged.

She went on: “Yes, award nominations and wins would be great but their reasons for doing the Netflix docuseries aren’t for these nominations. They have their own reasons for it, which are bigger.”
