Pat McAfee might’ve ruffled some feathers with his new bosses at ESPN after Aaron Rodgers reignited his feud with Jimmy Kimmel during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday.
McAfee addressed the situation on his Wednesday show and apologized for the media storm that ensued after Rodgers said he will pop “some sort of bottle” when the soon-to-be-released court documents containing a list linking individuals to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is released and suggested Kimmel will be named.
Kimmel threatened legal action against Rodgers in a response to a post on Tuesday that included a video of the four-time MVP saying: “There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, that are really hoping that doesn’t come out.”
McAfee explained that he “can understand why Jimmy got completely pissed,” but also said “Aaron was just trying to talk s–t” and joke as the NFL star and ABC talk show host have history.
The outspoken host went on to say that he hopes Rodgers and Kimmel can work things out, and he will wait for the Jets quarterback to speak on the matter.
An ESPN spokesperson declined to comment when asked by The Post about the situation.
Rodgers has yet to address Kimmel’s threat as of Wednesday afternoon.
