Phil Mickelson’s wife Amy ditched her wedding ring while on a run to a grocery store earlier this week.

The golf star’s longtime spouse hit up a Trader Joe’s in San Diego with her daughter, Amanda Brynn, on Tuesday, and the ring finger on her left hand was notably naked as she entered and exited the establishment.

It’s unclear why Amy left her finger jewelry at home, though the timing is peculiar as Mickelson has been embroiled in sexual misconduct controversy the last few months — and it is the first time she has been photographed since.

Amy hasn’t been seen in public much in recent years, but in one of the last times she was photographed at the 2021 Ryder Cup in Wisconsin, she prevalently wore a massive diamond on that digit.

During the trip to the grocery store, which Phil did not attend, Amy gave her daughter a long and loving embrace before they departed.

Earlier in the spring, he was reportedly booted from a prominent golf club in Rancho Santa Fe over allegations he “made nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact” with one of the place’s female employees.

Then, in late June, a Skratch article penned by Alan Shipnuck claimed the 56-year-old had exhibited a string of inappropriate behavior over the last decade, including in 2015, when the three-time Masters Champ allegedly tried to seduce golfer Pat Perez’s wife by using a naked photo of himself.

Following Shipnuck’s report, a spokeswoman for Mickelson said in a statement that “throughout their 35-year relationship,” Amy “has supported Mr. Mickelson and their family with extraordinary grace, unwavering love, and the belief that people are measured not only by their failures, but by what they do to make them right.”
