He kept calm and marched on, instead of acknowledging his wife’s mysterious absence.
Prince William dodged a question about Kate Middleton’s long recovery from her planned surgery during a recent public outing.
According to a video obtained by the Daily Mail, when the Prince of Wales, 41, was at the Wrexham AFC stadium on Friday, a person in the crowd asked the Prince of Wales, 41, “How’s Catherine?” William ignored the question and kept walking.
But, he did respond when another fan asked him for a selfie.
“Can I say hello to the team? I’ll come back,” William said, in response.
Middleton, 42, got abdominal surgery in January. She’s reportedly on the mend, and she’s been recovering behind closed doors since being discharged from the hospital on Jan. 29.
William has attended many events without his wife ever since, including the BAFTAs, and he also hung out with “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” star Rob McElhenney.
Kensington Palace originally announced that Kate would not be participating in any royal engagements after her planned unspecified medical procedure.
“The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” read a statement shared via the palace’s official X account. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
However, that early statement from the palace hasn’t stopped outlandish conspiracy theories about Middleton’s whereabouts from taking over the internet.
A Spanish news outlet reported Kate Middleton was in “great danger” after being put in a “coma” following her abdominal surgery. Sources told The Post that the report is “wholly inaccurate.”
Amid the conspiracy theories, in response, Kensington Palace made it clear they would “only be providing significant updates,” her rep told The Post. “That guidance stands.”
The rep added that the mom of three is “doing well.”
Meanwhile, King Charles, 75, has taken a step back from his royal duties since he broke the news of hiscancer diagnosis on Feb. 5. Queen Camilla, 76, filled in for him and performed some of his duties.
She was seen attending a memorial service for Greek King Constantine II on Feb. 27, and at a reception for the BBC’s 500 Words Finalists at Buckingham Palace on Feb. 28.
The Queen also met with Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska at Clarence House on Feb. 29, according to the Times UK.
Prince William and Princess Anne are now reportedly stepping in as an “exhausted” Camilla jets off on vacation. (She took on 13 more official engagements solo since her husband’s health scare went public.)
Middleton, for her part, was finally spotted out and about for the first time since December on Monday.
In pictures obtained by The Post, the Princess of Wales could be seen sitting in the passenger seat of an Audi being driven by her mom, Carole, near Windsor Castle.
Her face was obscured by a pair of large sunglasses.
