The search for one of the most valuable Shohei Ohtani cards ever produced may be over.

A collector pulled the redemption for Ohtani’s one-of-one Back-to-Back Dual Gold Logoman Autograph Relic from a 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball hobby box at a local card shop in Boca Raton, Florida, Topps announced.

The discovery immediately placed the unidentified collector in position for a potentially staggering payday. Grade10, an Asia-based trading card company, previously offered $10 million to whoever found the card and instructed the winner to contact the company directly.

It remains unclear whether the collector intends to accept the bounty, pursue an auction or keep the card. No completed sale has been announced.

The card’s unusual construction explains the enormous interest surrounding it.

It includes two game-worn gold MLB logo patches connected to Ohtani’s consecutive National League MVP seasons with the Dodgers. One side features a patch from 2024 alongside his English autograph, while the other pairs a 2025 patch with his signature written in Japanese kanji.

A gold “1/1” stamp confirms that no second version exists.

The collector initially pulled a redemption card, meaning Topps will deliver the finished centerpiece rather than the physical card appearing directly inside the pack.

Its eventual value remains uncertain despite the public bounty.

Before Grade10’s offer, Market Movers founder Geoff Wilson estimated that the card could bring approximately $5 million on the secondary market. Ohtani’s previous sales show why collectors believe this version could go significantly higher.

A different one-of-one Ohtani Gold Logoman autograph card sold for $3 million in December 2025. Another card featuring Ohtani and New York Yankees star Aaron Judge, complete with both players’ autographs and Gold Logoman patches, sold for $2.16 million in March.

Neither carries the same back-to-back MVP theme as the newly discovered card.

Any final price would depend on its condition, authentication, selling platform and the number of serious buyers willing to compete. The $10 million bounty also does not guarantee that money has changed hands.

For now, the collector owns the redemption to a card Topps described as one of the most important Ohtani collectibles in existence.

The biggest chase in the newest Topps Chrome release is officially finished. The competition to own the prize may only be beginning.
