Ron Weasley has entered the chat.
Actor Rupert Grint recently announced he will he reprise the “Ron Weasley” role he made famous on the silver screen in Broadway’s “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” at the Lyric Theatre starting Feb. 2, 2027.
Grint, 38, is slated to perform with the “Cursed Child” ensemble for 17 weeks through May 30.
After the news broke, the red-headed Millennial thespian — who previously appeared on Broadway in 2014’s “It’s Only A Play” with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane — shared “Ron Weasley has been a part of me since I was 11 years old and I can’t wait to meet him again in this stage of life. There is something so full-circle and so special about stepping back into Ron’s shoes now when we are both fathers; it is somehow both very familiar and completely new. And the joy of being back on Broadway, this time in a role that defined so much of my life is truly exciting.”

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show was $242 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Other “Cursed Child” productions have tickets starting anywhere from $271 to $347 including fees.
Prior to returning to Hogwarts, Grint’s “Potter” co-star Tom Felton will wrap his ongoing run as Draco Malfoy on Jan. 3, 2027.

John Skelley (Harry Potter) may look familiar to TV fans. He’s appeared in HBO’s “Succession,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “Law & Order: SVU” and a handful of films as well. Notable Off-Broadway theatre roles include “Hamlet,” “Desire” and “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.”
Rachel Christopher (Hermione Granger) is quite active. It’s possible you’ve seen her on Broadway in “For Colored Girls” or in New York at Playwright Horizon’s “What To Send Up When It Goes Down.” Film and TV fans might have caught Ricketts in “Girl on the Train,” “The Upside” “Blindspot,” “Madame Secretary” and/or “Billions.”
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) makes his Broadway debut with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” replacing the long-running Aaron Bartz. Off-stage and outside of the “Harry Potter” franchise, he’s acted in “Get Him To The Greek,” “Ophelia,” “Megan Leavey,” “The Flash” and “Origin.”
