We’re a little less than six months away from Sea.Hear.Now but we can already feel the sand in our toes, the sun on our back and the music in our ears.
Asbury Park’s annual festival — which returns to North Beach on Sept. 19-20 — just announced their 2026 slate of performers and, per usual, has us all kinds of excited.
Notable names atop this year’s bill include too-cool-for-school garage rockers The Strokes, folksy hitmakers Mumford and Sons, ’90s vets Goo Goo Dolls, anti-authoritarian party-starters The Offspring and R&B queen Chaka Khan.
They’ll be joined by The War on Drugs, Pixies, Moby, Fontaines D.C. and The All-American Rejects.
Rounding out the two-day lineup are Shaggy, Men At Work, Ziggy Marley, Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles and Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon.
In total, 30 acts (exactly 15 per day) are scheduled to rock Springsteen‘s home in late September.
On top of all the exciting artists set to take the stage, Sea.Hear.Now also brings in professional surfers, numerous art installations and, of course, the iconic Stokehenge, which is “an area dedicated to murals painted on wooden walls by local artists” Live For Live Music noted in their exhaustive 2024 recap of the festivities.
They also shared that food options included BBQ, pizza, tacos, banh mi, burgers and vegan dishes.
“The crowd was, as promised, pretty mellow,” Mr. Hipster wrote in an honest account of last year’s S.H.N. “The grounds, as promised, were super-clean and well organized. Even the outhouses were of the fancier variety with flushing mechanisms and everything. There were water stations with plenty of spigots to fill and re-fill your bottles…all the folks working the festival could not be nicer.”
