Travis Scott roasted for awkward photoshoot: ‘So embarrassing’

Travis, I have a feeling we’re not in Houston anymore.

A recent video of Travis Scott, 31, surrounded by residents of Japan — who apparently have no idea who he is — has over 13 million views on Twitter as users roast the rapper for seemingly assuming he’d be recognized.

In the 11-second clip, the rapper dressed in jeans and a white sweatshirt with a hood can be seen posing for a picture in front of pedestrians who are crossing a street.

Aiming for a big reveal, Scott then whizzes around to face the flow of foot traffic, lifting his hood with anticipation of a reaction.

Instead, the unbothered Japanese commuters maintain their pace without regard for his attempt to elicit a response.

Finally, the “Goosebumps” rapper smiles sheepishly as he rejoins his posse.

The Post has contacted reps for Scott for comment.

The awkward incident has sparked speculation among fans and critics on social media.

“Ok I love him but this is so embarrassing,” one viewer admitted.

“I wouldn’t know Travis Scott if his name was glued on his forehead and he was standing right in front of me,” another chimed in.

However, some sympathizers suggested that Scott, who has a following of tens of millions online, may have felt relieved to just blend in.

“He’s prob happy as hell to be able to walk around like a normal person for once,” one mused.

“It’s probably kind of nice to not be bombarded by fans,” echoed another.

Others explained away the nonchalance as an element of Japanese culture, as one armchair anthropologist claimed, “Japan honestly don’t care they just be vibin.”

For those who don’t know — Scott’s name last made international headlines following the 2021 Astroworld Festival tragedy in Houston where 10 people died as a result of a mass-crowd crush. The Texan rapper has since been embroiled in legal action and public relations controversies.
