Brittany Mahomes seemingly supported Donald Trump and he returned the favor on Wednesday.
The former President thanked the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for her support after she liked an Instagram post from Trump in August.
“I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,” Trump posted on Truth Social late Wednesday morning.
“With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM. What a great couple – See you both at the Super Bowl!”
Mahomes caught flack last month after she liked a post from the Republican Party nominee titled “The 2024 GOP Platform,” which included controversial topics, including deportation.
It appeared the like was later removed.
More than a week later, the SI Swimsuit model fired back at those criticizing her.
“I mean honestly,” Mahomes wrote in an Instagram Story. “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.
“There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
While some believe Brittany made her political stance clear, Patrick has avoided entering into those waters in an interview with Time.
The QB did not endorse a candidate four years ago, per the article.
The three-time Super Bowl champion and Brittany share two children, Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 1, and they announced in July they are expecting a baby girl.
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain President,” Patrick told Time. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
For Trump to see the Mahomes family at the White House, he will need to beat Kamala Harris in the November and the Chiefs will have to become the first team to ever three-peat in the Super Bowl history.
The Chiefs’ date with history starts Thursday against the Ravens in the NFL opener.
