Emma Gretzky, the youngest child of hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, and Stone Eby, a former tight end at Southern Methodist University, announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post Tuesday.
“The easiest yes to a lifetime with you ❤️,” Emma wrote, including photos of the pair posing outdoors in front of a scenic background.
The carousel post included snapshots of the couple’s son, Walter Boone-Gretzky Eby, who turns one in August.
“I’m crying!! no one deserves this more 🥹🫶🏼,” Emma’s sister, model Paulina Gretzky, who is married to PGA golfer Dustin Johnson, wrote in the comments.
“Congratulations ♥️ Love You All !” mom Janet Gretzky added.
Emma, 23, and Stone celebrated their third anniversary together in November 2025.
He is founder and owner of Stone Built Construction and Development in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Emma played tennis at the college level as a student at SMU in Dallas, where she was enrolled from 2012-2015, according to her LinkedIn.
She is an independent childcare provider, as well as a clothing designer at Gretzky Hockey School, her profile states.
Wayne and Janet — married 38 years on July 16 — have three sons, Ty, born in 1990, Trevor, born in 1992, and Tristan in 2000.
The Hall of Fame hockey legend, who retired in April 1999, is the first and only player to have his number 99 jersey retired league-wide by the NHL.
Wayne played his final game with the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
