“Who’s the Boss?” alum Danny Pintauro was hospitalized on Thanksgiving after a scooter accident.

The 48-year-old actor shared an Instagram post Sunday with photos and videos of himself in a hospital bed.

“I thought I would share an update with all of you,” the message began. “On Thanksgiving night I got into a scooter accident. The bike lane I was riding in was suddenly blocked with cones and I was forced to choose between a van and a pylon. The pylons hurt!! Have a terrible scrape on my Arm and I was pretty convinced I had broken my arm. The next morning it was a whole lot better so l didn’t worry as much.”

But Pintauro said that two days later he started having “significant” chest pains and he “could barely breathe.”

“It was the worst moment of my life,” he wrote.

Pintauro’s husband, Wil Tabares, drove him to MemorialCare Miller Hospital in Long Beach, California, where the actor underwent several tests. Doctors discovered he had an infection in his bloodstream due to a tear in his stomach lining.

“It’s been the most excruciating pain I’ve ever felt in my whole life,” he said. “So I had to have emergency surgery to repair the tear. The surgery went well, and now that it’s fixed, the pain is pretty much gone away, although I’m very sore.”

The “Cujo” star said that he still has a tube in his stomach and he can’t eat or drink anything for three days.

“They always say this but it’s very true, if I had waited any longer, I could have died,” Pintauro wrote. “My body was the one who told me something was absolutely wrong.”

He later added: “This is my first emergency surgery EVER but I kept it together. It was absolutely terrifying. If anybody might wanna send me flowers, I wouldn’t be opposed. Lol just kidding. I’m stressed hungry in pain and exhausted.”

“Light a candle for me, okay? They did an X-ray of my arm and it’s not broken! So there’s one bright side,” Pintauro concluded his message.

Fans showed the actor support in the comments section.

“Sending vibes for a speedy recovery,” one fan wrote.
