Kate Middleton is choosing to stay home in November while her husband Prince William jets off to Singapore for the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony.
The Prince of Wales, 41, will be making a trip to Asia on Nov. 7 to present at the event while Middleton, also 41, remains in England with their children.
The Duchess of Cambridge will stay behind with her children, Prince George, 10, Prince Louis, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 8, as they have to continue going to school.
George in particular has a medley of exams that he must take for the term.
According to the Mirror, “Kate does not want to disturb the youngsters’ schooling and works hard to ensure the trio have a stable home life in preparation for their royal careers later down the line.”
One insider close to Middleton noted to the Daily Beast on Friday that she “is tirelessly working on behalf of the monarchy.”
“The fact is that her youngest child is 5, so I don’t think she should be expected to hop on a plane every two minutes,” the source added of the royal’s absence.
Middleton previously attended the ceremony in 2021 and 2022. William created the Earthshot Prize in 2020 to spread awareness abut environmental changes.
Earlier this month, the Duke of Cambridge and his wife were previously in New York to attend the Earthshot Prize Annual Innovation Summit.
The summit unveiled 15 prize finalists for this year, with the awards set to be presented in several weeks time in Singapore.
The eventual Top 5 prize recipients will score a cool $1,200,000 (£1 million) each to put toward executing their environmental initiatives and prizes will be handed out by William in November.
Environmentalism and climate change are some of William’s main charitable causes like his father, King Charles.
