Nicolas Cage is in his dad era. The actor, who turns 60 on January 7, opened up about his priorities once he kicks off a new decade.

“60 is coming up. I’d like to read a book a week, I wanna spend more time with my daughter,” he told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview. “I’m taking more stock of what’s important.”

He added: “Maybe not make quite as many movies.”

The Oscar winner and his wife, Rico, welcomed their first child together, August Francesca, on Sept. 7, 2022, in Los Angeles.

“Nicolas and Riko are happy to announce the birth of their daughter,” their rep told People at the time. “Mother and daughter are doing fine.”

Cage is also dad to sons Kal-El, 18, and Weston, 32, from previous relationships.

“It’s profound,” he told ET about fatherhood and raising his little girl. “Totally new experience, I love it.”

Last year, he also revealed what he missed out about his sons’ childhood shortly before August’s arrival.

“I miss it all. I miss watching a child discover things for the first time,” he told ET. “The way the sunlight shines through a leaf. Taking them to have a lobster dinner and have them freak out at the table, ‘What the heck is Daddy eating? What is that thing? It looks like a monster, like a giant bug!’ All that stuff.”

“I miss going to the toy store. I miss singing lullabies. I miss rocking in rocking chairs,” he continued. “I was really hoping for another child. My boys are all grown up, so this will be great.”

Before refocusing in the new year, Cage is busy promoting his latest film, “Dream Scenario,” where he plays Paul Matthews, a neurotic professor who begins to show up in people’s dreams. For the part, he went bald, and sported gray hair and glasses.

“We wanted it to be as unlike who you see now as possible,” he said of his transformation. “I feel it’s one of my best performances.”

The dark comedy also stars Lily Bird, Julianne Nicholson, Jessica Clement, Star Spade, David Klein, Kaleb Horn and Liz Adjei.

“Dream Scenario” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 9, and was released in select theaters on Nov. 10. It will be released wide on Dec. 1.
