It just got easier to copy Jessica Chastain’s sizzling style.
The Oscar-winning actor and producer has donated a selection of her red carpet and street-style looks to a charity closet sale on Vestiaire Collective, a pre-loved luxury fashion platform. Now her fans can scoop up, say, the white Carolina Herrera minidress she swagged at the premiere of “The Good Nurse,” or the Dries Van Noten burgundy velvet frock she rocked on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
To celebrate the fashionable fundraiser, Chastain, her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart and Vestiaire execs co-hosted a cocktail bash at The Nines in NoHo. Chastain posed for pictures in a black sleeveless Cong Tri gown that’s available in the sale.
“I’ve worn these pieces during significant moments in my life and I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making them,” said the flame-haired artist in a statement. “I hope others will enjoy these pieces as much as I have.”
All net proceeds from the sale of her items will be donated to Women for Women International, an organization supporting women survivors of war and conflict.
While many of the pieces are meaningful to Stewart, she told Alexa that a blue velvet Givenchy dress made for Chastain has particular significance. “It was by Riccardo Tisci and it was one of the first pieces that she wore from him. They ended up bonding and becoming best friends, and having all of those red carpet collaborations.”
Chastain’s Off-White suit by the late Virgil Abloh is another cherished offering. “It’s very special because he died tragically way before his time and was this incredible genius,” explained Stewart. “He was always this beautiful communicator and kind in the way he spoke, and the suit is like that. It’s a beautiful corally pink with unique tie details.”
Stewart generously contributed designer pieces from her own wardrobe to the sale, including a red Michael Kors dot dress. “Polka dots always make you feel happy and I wore that to my daughter’s college graduation. It was a fake graduation that we set up because it was during Covid. A bunch of moms got together and literally rented a place and the [students] walked down the aisle.”
“The dress is special because of that,” she added. “Maybe I should take it out of the sale!”
