Say hello to the grandchild of the digital revolution.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates and ex-wife Melinda French Gates have both shared snaps of their new grandchild — separately.
Their granddaughter was born a month ago, with the doting grandparents each sharing pictures that appear to be taken at different times despite the coordinated timestamps, though it is unclear if they were photographed in the same location.
Gates, 67, can be seen holding the baby girl in an adorable snap posted to social media on Thursday morning, captioning it: “I can’t wait to watch you discover the world.”
Meanwhile, French Gates, 57, had her own angle of the infant to share, writing below the image: “There is nothing like holding your first grandchild.”
“It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age,” she gushed. “Now she has a baby of her own — and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents”
The Gates’ grandbaby’s name has not yet been publicly revealed.
Melinda and Bill, 66, were together for nearly 30 decades before divorcing in May 2021. The pair, who married in 1994, share three children together — and now their first grandchild.
Their eldest daughter Jennifer, 26, announced the birth of her child with her husband, Egyptian pro-equestrian Nayel Nassar, 32, last month in a post on social media, showing only her baby’s feet.
Now, followers are getting a rare glimpse at her tiny, dark-haired head — while her face remains obscured to outsiders.
In 2021, it was revealed Gates had a lengthy affair with a Microsoft employee in 2000, as well as reportedly asked out several women in the office while he was married.
It’s unclear how much French Gates knew about the affair at the time.
In an interview with Fortune in 2022, the mom-of-three described the divorce as “unbelievably painful,” but says she was thankful COVID gave her “the privacy to get through it.”
French Gates also credited her work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with helping her process the divorce.
The couple pledged to continue to run the charity together, despite their separation.
