Bebe Rexha assault suspect in custody as singer reveals facial injury from phone

The man who allegedly left Bebe Rexha bloodied and in need of stitches Sunday at an NYC concert is now in police custody.

The 33-year-old “I’m Good (Blue)” singer was struck in the face with a cellphone and rushed off the stage at the Rooftop at Pier 17, multiple eyewitness told The Post.

Rexha was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries, which required three stitches, according to TMZ.

The phone-pelter suspect was quickly identified, with cops arresting Nicolas Malvagna.

Malvagna, 27, was charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment.

He allegedly tossed the phone at Rexha for his own amusement, prosecutors said at his Monday night arraignment.

“I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny,” Malvagna said after the incident, according to prosecutors.

Malvagna, from New Jersey, was freed without bail at the Monday court hearing and a judge ordered him stay away from Rexha.

“Bebe was amazing — but at the end of the show as she was leaving the stage, somebody threw what was apparently a phone and hit her right in the face,” fan Brian Good, 48, of Kearny, New Jersey, told The Post Monday morning.

“She staggered around, fell down, and her people pulled her off the stage. Scary. Police were coming into the building as we left, and we think maybe an ambulance came, too.”

Rexha was hit just below her left eye and crew members had to rush to her aid.

Videos shared across social media showed the Grammy-nominated songstress clutching her cheek as concertgoers chanted her name. “She was down for what seemed like 30 seconds,” according to one audience member who spoke to The Post.

Forebodingly, earlier in the show, the platinum blonde headliner had to stop a song mid-performance because people were fighting and asked security to split them up: “Half-way through the set and people are already fighting…welcome to New York,” Rexha told the audience.

The Staten Island native has not yet responded to The Post’s request for comment.

However, the star posted a photo of her injury to Instagram early Monday, declaring: “Im good.”

Rexha’s fans immediately rushed to Twitter to express their support for her, with many condemning the bizarre attack.

“Wow, this is so vile, nasty, and disturbing. Bebe Rexha doesn’t deserve this at all. I hope she is ok, and I hope the person who threw the phone gets charged with assault,” one follower tweeted.

“This is Bebe Rexha being rushed out of the concert venue here in NYC after someone threw a f – – king phone and hit her face as she was leaving the stage,” another fan wrote. “We were all having a hell of a good time and so was Bebe, we were all having a blast, I mean who would even do that??? We hope you’re ok @BebeRexha.”

“Such a weird way to end a great show—everyone walking out in sort of a daze,” concertgoer Brian Good told The Post. “We couldn’t believe what had just happened.”

“Bebe struggles a lot in the industry because of their bias against her age and weight,” he added. “She kept mentioning things that had happened to her in the city or when she was growing up and how happy the show was for her as a sort of homecoming. Sad it ended like that.”

Meanwhile, Rexha’s Big Apple concert was part of her Best F’n Night of My Life tour which is still slated to include four more dates.

Other venues for the tour include gigs at the Fillmore in Philadelphia, the Fillmore Silver Spring in Maryland, the Tabernacle in Atlanta and the Hard Rock Live Orlando in Florida.
