Mom-to-be Jena Sims was beaming with pride on Friday after walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway show seven months into her pregnancy.
The wife of golfer Brooks Koepka — who is expecting a baby boy with the LIV Golf pro — reflected on the experience Sunday in a candid Instagram post, writing in part, “I am so proud of myself and what my body is accomplishing,” following the Miami Swim Week show.
Sims, who wore a “Currently Growing a Pair” T-shirt on the catwalk with black bikini bottoms, began, “While this is true, the message behind the t shirt meant so much more to me. It takes courage to walk the runway 7 months pregnant. Working for my lifelong dream brand, having no control over my body was terrifying yet the biggest blessing. I was never alone up there.
“Pregnancy is not slowing my ambitions, it’s fueling them. I am so proud of myself and what my body is accomplishing.”
Sims, who also wore a glittery teal two-piece, then praised Sports Illustrated Swimsuit “for celebrating all bodies and all phases of life.”
A Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hopeful, Sims dazzled on the runway at the W Hotel in Miami Beach.
Sims, 34, is a finalist in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual SwimSearch.
The winner of the contest will be announced in September as the first “rookie” of the 2024 issue.
In addition to ruling the runway show, Sims spent time with Camille Kostek, a former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star.
The pair posed for photos at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Bungalow, which included interactive brand activations and activities with the SI Swim models all weekend.
The runway show took place two months after Sims and Koepka, 33, announced they’re expecting.
The expectant parents celebrated their first wedding anniversary in June with a trip to Turks and Caicos.
Sims and Koepka returned to the tropical paradise a year after they tied the knot there in a lavish ceremony, where rapper Ludacris performed.
