Randy granny and ‘toyboy’ share shocking update after declaration of love

This globe-trotting granny is making a stop in Splitsville.

The love between Iris Jones, 82, and Mohamed Ibriham, 36, overcame their age gap in 2021 when the couple made headlines for their shocking May-December relationship.

Now, they’re calling it quits after two years of marriage.

“I adored everything about Mohammed,” Jones reportedly told Closer Magazine, in the United Kingdom. “But it became hard work.”

“We used to have a great sex life but then, rather than making love, we ended up arguing all the time about anything and everything,” she continued.

Jones first connected with Ibriham on Facebook in 2019 and quickly struck up a romance. The retiree, who receives a $266 weekly pension from the government, soon flew to Cairo, Egypt, to meet him.

They tied the knot in November 2020, and later, Ibriham relocated to the UK to be with his wife.

During a 2021 appearance on the British talk show “This Morning,” the so-dubbed “toyboy” insisted that he didn’t court Jones to score a visa or money.

But now, things are over between the two — and Jones has found a new companion in her cat, Mr. Tibbs.

“I got him just a few days after Mohammed moved out and he’s the perfect companion,” she gushed, according to The Sun. “He never complains, is very quiet and beautiful to look at — I adore him. And he’s very happy here and doesn’t create a mess.”

Jones insisted that she doesn’t even miss her ex-husband. “I’m not missing Mohammed at all, the thing that annoyed me the most when he left was he took my tempura battered prawns that I’d planned for my dinner that night,” she said.

Ibriham has not yet spoken out publicly about the split.

In 2020, Jones made a solo appearance on “This Morning” and gave some graphic details about what it was like to have sex with her then-husband for the first time.

“The first night was pretty rough,” she admitted on the program. “Nobody had been near me for 35 years … I thought I was a virgin again!”

The elderly woman continued: “Can I tell you what we used? A whole tube of KY jelly. The thing is I couldn’t walk the next day … I felt like I was riding a horse!”

And, although things didn’t end up working out between these two, there remain other mixed-age couples who have gone the distance.

Georgia-based couple Cheryl, 62, and Quran McCain, 25, have gone viral for their 37-year age-gap relationship over the years, after they met while working at a Dairy Queen together.

“We may get hate for being in love, but I wouldn’t trade this love we have for anything on this planet. I found my happy place and it’s you,” Cheryl captioned a TikTok video this past April.

And, couple Gretchen Dillon, 36, and Michael Dillon, 63, who live in New York, actually find their age difference quite helpful when it comes to their relationship and even parenting.

“I think his age makes him a better father,” Gretchen told SWNS. “He can’t be as physically active, but he still loves monkeying around with little Shannon. But he’s more like a grandad because he has so much more patience.”
