Tons of nacho cheese spills from truck onto highway — corniness ensued

It was the taco the town.

A large truck carrying cans of nacho cheese let loose all over an Arkansas highway Tuesday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation shared in a Facebook post — and drivers were feta off avoiding the area.

“Taco Tuesday, anyone?” the ADOT wrote in the social media post, accompanied by two photos of the un-bean-lievable scene. “A truck carrying cans of nacho cheese spilled today on I-30 west near Prescott.”

“Things are all clear now and traffic is moving,” the agency added.

In one photo, viewers can see many cans of the ooey, gooey cheese splattered across the highway, while the other picture shows the grating sight from above.

It appears the truck veered to the side of the highway, with much of the cheesy debris landing on the grass near the road.

It’s unclear if anyone was harmed.

The Post reached out to the ADOT for comment.

Despite the guac-ward situation, some social media users were chip-per in the comments — taking the gouda with the bad.

“Nacho usual traffic problem,” one person cracked.

Another agreed, typing, “No one can claim it because it’s nacho cheese!”

“I predict a rash of constipated wildlife varments in Prescott,” one user joked.

“A free all you can eat buffet,” someone else seconded.

This isn’t the first food spillage to make headlines recently.

A year ago, a truck spewed nearly 300,000 tomatoes across I-80 in California, leaving the highway a big, red mess.

Also last year, a meat truck left a ton of remnants on an Australian highway after a braking mishap.

“The cleanup will take some time,” the Victoria Traffic’s account wrote on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, of the “intestinal blockage,” which occurred near Melbourne.

And that’s not the worst of it — in 2019, New Orleans police were forced to shut down a street after a container truck carrying 1,000 gallons of syrup leaked.

It was a really sticky situation.
