The tell-tale sign your best friend really hates you

If you’ve ever had a sneaking suspicion that a friend secretly hates you, there’s a tell-tale sign that will let you know for sure.

Jaci Marie Smith discovered a niche method to tell if a friend actually dislikes you — but it only works with women.

Smith shared that a fake friend will often give advice that seems harmless but will be detrimental in the long run.

The first sign, which is something Smith has personally experienced, is when a friend tells you to cut your long hair into a bob or pixie cut.

Smith has long, beautiful hair that she prides herself on and spends hours on its upkeep every week, so she was stunned when a friend of hers suggested she cut it all off.

In a video posted to TikTok with 298,300 views and 29,700 likes, Smith explains the theory, saying that if you have long or beautiful hair, bring up the scenario of a potential haircut.

“If they’re like ‘YES…chop it, it would look so good on you,’ they hate you,” she declared. “They’re praying on your downfall.”

She said that if you want to push it, ask if you should get bangs.

“If they say yes, you need to cut them out of your life.”

Smith noted that the theory was all in good fun, but many women seemed to resonate with it.
