McRibs fans will soon be BBQueing up to celebrate the return of the iconic menu item.
The McRib sandwich will soon make an appearance on select McDonald’s menus across the country.
The popular menu item will be available in Indiana and Southwest Michigan starting Saturday, Nov. 11, WPTA reported. Among other locations, the sandwich will also be offered in Ohio that same day, according to the Columbus Dispatch, as well as in Kentucky, the Louisville Courier Journal reported.
“Sightings” of the fan-favorite, 520-calorie sandwich — which debuted in 1981 in Kansas City and will also be available for purchase through the McDonald’s app — can be tracked on the website mcriblocator.com.
After giving the tasty treat a grand “farewell tour” in 2022, McDonald’s decided to bring back the love-it-or-hate-it classic sandwich, with a rep telling The Post last month: “It turns out not everyone was ready to say goodbye to the McRib.”
The item returned in 2020 for the first time since 2012.
“The McRib starts with seasoned boneless pork dipped in a tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and dill pickles, all served on a toasted homestyle bun. When everything combines you have BBQ pork sandwich perfection,” reads a description on the fast food chain’s website.
The latest nosh news has left some fans drooling — and others fuming.
Food blogger @snackolator’s announcement of the return on their Instagram page generated a heated discussion on the delicious subject.
“Like Cher it’s back!!!!” one fan wrote. “Thank the snack gods.”
Another agreed, typing, “Glad it’s not the last time we all can enjoy eating it too bad it’s not a permanent part of the menu.”
“There goes my diet.😂,” someone else joked.
Others, however, were not too pleased to hear the McRib is back on the menu.
“McSick is back,” a user lamented.
One Instagrammer seconded, “Nah you just nasty if you eating this.”
