This cleaning hack gets rid of unsightly orange stains in food storage containers

Leftovers shouldn’t get left over in your storage containers.

Although they’re technically clean, no amount of scrubbing, soaking or dishwasher runs seems to knock out the yellow-orange stains lining your Tupperware.

But one woman revealed a cleaning hack that really works — with minimal effort.

TikTok user @ayni_home shared the hack in a video that’s received 1.2 million views and 48,600 likes.

She shared the trick to the soundtrack of a trending audio clip that states, “Show me the life hack that you randomly saw one day that is now an unconscious standard practice in your life.”

The video shows Ayni holding a greased-up reusable container. She then put a paper towel in the container, added four pumps of dish soap and warm water.

She put the lid back onto the container and gave it a shake until the water inside was foamy.

After emptying the contents and rinsing the remaining soap suds the container looked as good as new.

“Quick wash and rinse and it’s done. No orange stains,” she wrote in text over the video.

People in the comments couldn’t believe how well the trick worked.
