A mom revealed how much she makes per day with her Uber Eats side hustle — and her social media followers are eating it up.
Karyna Diaz, a stay-at-home mom from Las Vegas, said she can make nearly $200 a day working for Uber Eats as a side hustle.
Diaz posted a video to her TikTok account where she goes by @karynadiazz, showing just how much she makes per order and how many miles she needs to travel.
“See how much I make. Perfect side hustle as a SAHM [stay-at-home mom],” she captioned the video which has gained over 1.2 million views since being posted in October.
“I already picked up my first order. This one’s from Chick-fil-A. This one’s $7 for only three miles,” she said in her video.
“Just got my second order. This one’s from The Bar. It’s $8 for two miles away,” she added.
She continued to detail all her orders, as well as when she took a little break.
“Hey guys, a little break. I just picked up some Starbucks and I’m really freaking happy right now,” she said.
“Next order is actually from Tacotarian. There are two big bags. [They are] paying $17 for six miles,” she added.
Overall, she cashed in $172 for the day.
Commenters below her video were hungry for more info about the perks of her side hustle.
“How does it work? Do you make whatever the ORDER costs? Or do you only get what they give in tip?” one asked.
Diaz replied, “Whatever price the order pops up for on your phone you get that amount. Which includes the base pay & tip.”
“Okay, Loca help a girl out — just started and wanted to learn some tips. What’s your 3 best tips for a beginner,” another follower asked.
Diaz returned with her experienced opinion.
“Hi mama!1. Don’t accept any high mileage/ low pay. 2. If you ever deliver at night at apartments or certain areas call them down to get the order,” she attested.
Another savvy Uber customer noted other ways to earn more as a driver.
“You should add how much gas you lose. I remember one of my Uber drivers saying how they have to spend more than they make,” they suggested, ostensibly referring potential tax deductions on the cost of doing business.
“I spent $25 on gas to work this day 😊,” Diaz shared.
