Done up like Dolly.
Fans of the legendary star can now bid on her used makeup.
Julien’s Auction House, which specializes in arts and entertainment-related items, recently put up a compact and puff used to powder Parton’s famous face.
The artist used the large white powder compact and puff in her music video for “Home.”
According to the listing, the item comes directly from the collection of Anna Webb, a Nashville-based set dresser who worked on the “Home” music video in 2014.
Webb remembers this shoot “as a meaningful experience in her career.”
She worked closely with Parton on set and “shared a moment of singing together in the set mirror that she now considers a cherished memory.”
The compact’s brand isn’t listed; however, Parton was a vocal fan of Maybelline and Max Factor products.
Bidding for the puff and compact started at $25.
The auction is still live, and the current bid is $400.
Also up for auction is an e.l.f. Cosmetics bronzing makeup brush used on Parton’s face in the same music video, the mirrored vanity and stool from the shoot, and a collection of makeup items used as props.
More 24/7 than 9-5, Parton previously copped to committing the cardinal sin of sleeping in her makeup.
“I usually try to keep my makeup on at night. Because I never know if there’s going to be an earthquake or a tornado or a storm and I’m going to have to go out in the middle of the night,” she told WSJ Magazine in 2021.
The “Jolene” singer claimed to remove her makeup when she woke up.
“It doesn’t matter when you clean your face as long as you clean it once a day,” Parton reasoned in her memoir, “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.”
“After I wake up, I do all the little rituals, and then I start over again and go out every day and look good all day long.”
Early in her career, Parton was prone to putting on her face in all manner of places.
“My bedroom was the backseat,” she said during a 2018 appearance on “Shine on With Reese.” “I’d wash my hair in the filling station bathrooms and put makeup on in the side mirror of the car, and that was just how you did it.”
The nearly universally beloved country queen died in August at 80 years old.
Parton was well known for her big heart, big hair, and glamorous makeup, famously deadpanning, “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.”
Parton also shared that her famous aesthetic was inspired by a “loose woman” from her hometown.
“I kind of patterned myself after what they called the town tramp in my hometown,” she said.
“There was this woman that was very much a loose woman, but I didn’t know what that meant and I just told her how beautiful she was.”
Other Parton items up for auction from Julien’s include a smashed electric guitar signed by the artist.
Earlier this year, an embellished jumpsuit Parton wore during a 1975 “Hee Haw” appearance sold for $19,500 on the platform.
