Groom slammed for walking down aisle inside coffin: ‘Cancel the wedding’

He’s taking “Till death do us part” a little too far.

A newlywed has been slammed for arriving at his own wedding in a coffin that was carried down the aisle by his best friends.

The macabre stunt was filmed by an attendee at the nuptials before it was posted to TikTok, where it quickly went viral and the groom garnered widespread backlash.

“Is this a funeral?? No, this is how my friend decided to walk down the aisle,” user @tobz88 captioned the clip, which has racked up more than 8 million views.

The footage shows a hearse pulling up to the outdoor wedding before the coffin is hoisted out of the trunk by six attendees. Other guests appear confused by the appearance of the box, believing a corpse could be concealed inside.

However, they were subsequently stunned when the groom popped out of the coffin after it was placed near the makeshift altar.

“Tell me you’re dramatic without telling me you’re dramatic,” the TikToker further wrote of the groom, who has not been publicly named.

Viewers were less than impressed by the stunt, which was labeled by one as “disrespectful.”

“I would literally cancel this wedding,” a second detractor declared, before another chimed in saying it was certainly grounds for divorce.

Meanwhile, others noted that the attendees carrying the coffin looked “embarrassed” to be there. An additional critic claimed the coffin could have worked as a prop at a more gothic wedding but looked weirdly out of place at the otherwise-ordinary outdoor service.

It’s unclear how the bride reacted to her husband-to-be’s stunt, or whether she played any part in the planning process.

However, some speculated that the groom upstaged his ladylove, which would have left her fuming on her big day.

“I need to see the bride,” one viewer hilariously concluded, “because if she isn’t 3x as dramatic as him then I don’t want any of it!”
