In both Games 1 and 2, the Astros took commanding five-run leads early. However, the Phillies roared back in Game 1 against future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander to win it in extra innings with a J.T. Realmuto walk-off home run.
Game 2 was a different story. After falling behind 5-0, the Phillies couldn’t rally again and lost 5-2. The game wasn’t without theatrics, though — slugger Kyle Schwarber mashed what appeared to be a home run to right field that was later ruled a foul ball.
On the very next pitch, Schwarber crushed another near dinger which Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker snagged at the wall.
