What is going on in Bill Belichick’s world?
The North Carolina football coach’s daughter-in-law, Jen Belichick, made waves online with her recent posts, which appear to hint that she and her husband, Stephen Belichick — the defensive coordinator on his father’s staff — are moving out of their home in Chapel Hill amid reports of a potential divorce with Bill and the team.
Although Jen’s Instagram is private, images surfaced on X, showing a moving truck with the message: “We meet again.”
The truck appears to belong to moving company Two Men and a Truck in Durham, according to online sleuths.
However, she appeared to end any confusion hours later with a picture of a house that was captioned: “Making things permanent in our new favorite place” — with the location pinned to Chapel Hill, NC.
It also included the message “Haters, byeee” at the bottom.
It also comes after Jen appeared to throw shade at Bill’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson — who manages the now-North Carolina coach’s opportunities outside of football — earlier this year when Hudson interrupted his “CBS Sunday Morning” interview over a question about how the couple met.
It is all just a small part of the swirl of drama surrounding the future Hall of Fame coach.
On Friday’s installment of “Pablo Torre Finds Out,” Torre revealed behind-the-scenes footage he obtained of Hudson on the set of Bill’s show at NFL Films Studios, entitled “Coach” — showing them airing frustration about NFL Films employees.
“Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview,” Jen wrote at the time. It’s unclear if it was about Hudson.
In January, Belichick signed a five-year deal with a $10 million per year in base salary — though only the first three years are guaranteed.
Multiple reports of dysfunction in Belichick’s program followed the 38-10 loss to Clemson on Oct. 6.
Last week, The Guardian reported that Belichick had discussed buyout options with UNC, which said he “signaled a willingness to trigger his own $1 million buyout if he can find a soft landing with another team or in media.”
Belichick called the report “categorically false” and affirmed his commitment to the program in a press conference.
The same report said communication between Bill and his staff has been “weird and distant” in the past two weeks — and multiple coaches were unable to get hold of him during UNC’s bye week.
“What we’ve done to these kids is f–ked up,” a UNC defensive assistant said.
Another coach added, “The rats are leaving the ship.”
Some members of the coaching staff reportedly are preparing to leave.
The day after the report became public, Bill and UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham put on a united front in a joint statement.
“I am fully committed to the UNC program and what we’re building here,” Belichick said in a statement.
“Coach Belichick has the full support of the Department of Athletics and University,” said Cunningham.
Last Wednesday, 247 Sports reported that “potential exit strategy discussions” took place at North Carolina as the Belichick experiment goes off the rails.
WRAL News reported that the situation in Chapel Hill is due to “a divided locker room, a disorganized coaching staff and a failure to communicate,” last Tuesday.
UNC brass reportedly had “preliminary conversations” about firing eight-time Super Bowl winning coach just five games into the new era.
“It’s all starting at the top, and the boys are being affected,” a parent of a current UNC player told WRAL News.
“I don’t fault the players; I fault the leadership that created this toxic environment. There’s an individualistic mindset. The boys are young, and they are feeding into it.”
The Tar Heels (2-3) play the Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium Friday night.
