Bride busted having a ‘quickie’ with groom’s uncle 30 minutes before wedding ceremony: ‘Things exploded’

A stunned bridesmaid says her friend was caught having a “quickie” with her fiancee’s uncle just half an hour before she was set to walk down the aisle.

The woman detailed the wild wedding day drama in the “Bridezillas” Reddit thread, saying the ceremony was quickly called off after the bride’s betrayal was uncovered.

“So, my friend Dana was supposed to be getting married this past Sunday,” the anonymous bridesmaid began in her post, which was shared to the chat site last month. “The wedding got canceled and things have gotten very crazy.”

The Redditor went on to say that Dana, 29, was due to wed her high school sweetheart, Josh, 32.

In the lead-up to the nuptials, Dana had purportedly been acting like a “bridezilla,” ordering all bridesmaids to buy $2000 dresses and attend a destination bachelorette event.

On the morning of the wedding, Dana was allegedly uptight and anxious, scolding those around her as she prepared to say “I do.”

“I for the most part took the easy route and decided to work outside the bridal suite, checking flowers, [and] making sure food was okay. Basically any excuse NOT to be around bride,” the Redditor wrote, saying Dana was a friend from college with whom she wasn’t super close.

“Wedding was starting in thirty minutes, so we figure she would be fine alone for that little,” the bridesmaid wrote of Dana. “I spent those thirty minutes just sitting in the chapel with my phone. It had to be about five minutes before the start of the wedding when the maid of honor came over to tell me the wedding was canceled.”

The shocked bridesmaid asked what happened, to which the maid of honor responded: “Dana was having a ‘quickie’ with Josh’s uncle in the room. Josh caught them.”

“I just stared at the maid of honor with my mouth pretty much about to reach the floor,” the Reddit recalled. “She told me to run and that she was trying to get as many people out before things exploded. So I quickly got my purse, gathered the two bridesmaids that were carpooling with me, and we left like the devil was after us.”

Josh was incredulous at Dana’s behavior, as was her own father, who allegedly called her a “s–t.”

However, the cheating bride seemingly had no shame about the situation, calling up all her bridesmaids several days later to ask whether they could collectively help her pay a $5,000 cancellation fee for the venue.

The Redditor declined to help, and told Dana she was outraged by her behavior.

“This has been pretty much the reaction of all bridesmaids and the maid of honor,” she wrote in the thread. “By the way, the maid of honor is Josh’s older sister.”

The Redditor later added to her post, revealing that the uncle with whom Dana had slept with was Josh’s mother’s brother.

“He’s 55 years old,” the bridesmaid declared. ” also found out the most disgusting detail is the uncle knew Dana since she was a teenager. Dana and Josh are high school sweethearts. So, yeah, I kinda feel gross knowing that.”

Readers were left shocked by the story, and praised Josh for kicking Dana to the curb.

“From a behavioral psychology standpoint, I’m reasonably confident that this was not the first time she’d banged the uncle,” one theorized. “You don’t go from zero to cheating just minutes before your own wedding. That takes a kind of confidence that you have to build up over time via multiple episodes of cheating where you don’t get caught.”
