A mom-to-be has claimed she will be turning to Ozempic to get rid of her pregnancy weight after she gained 18 kilos (39.6 pounds) over the last few months.

Linda Andrade, an American housewife married to a millionaire in Dubai, shared the admission to her TikTok channel @lionlindaa this week.

She also claimed she “doesn’t care” about the potential side effects on her child if she chooses to breastfeed.

“I didn’t sign up for this”

Linda, also known as ‘The Original Dubai Housewife,’ admitted in the clip that she’s been feeling down about her weight recently.

The influencer, who is nine months pregnant said, “Nobody warned me, and I definitely didn’t sign up for this.”

Over clips of her dining at Dubai’s fanciest restaurants and getting pampered at a spa where facials start at $2000 she says, “This is a huge sacrifice to me.”

“I love my body and I hate gaining weight,” she added.

Then comes the shocking revelation — Linda plans to use Ozempic injections after she gives birth to her daughter, something she says people “judge” her for.

“Once your baby is here, nothing else matters”

Ozempic is a prescription medication currently used to treat people who have type two diabetes.

When people warn her about the potential dangers of taking the drug when breastfeeding, she replies, “I just gained 40 pounds, that’s a way bigger issue.”

She also said that planning her future weight loss is something that makes her feel better “about being fat.”

Naturally, people had a lot to say about her candid comments, like this person, who wrote: “She cares more about Ozempic than her baby.”

Someone else told her to just “diet and exercise”, while another said, “Once your baby is here, nothing else will matter.”

Meanwhile, her fans made sure to let her know that she was beautiful just the way she was, in all her pregnant glory.

“You are STUNNING. You’re not fat,” said one user.

“If I was pregnant, I would want to look like you,” claimed someone else.

According to Ozempic, “It is not known if Ozempic passes into breastmilk,” but they urge people “not to use Ozempic if you are breastfeeding.”

And as per The Mayo Clinic, “There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding. Always consult your doctor prior to use.”
