Healthcare worker told her work outfit was ‘inappropriate’

A TikTok user is getting sympathy on the social media app after telling how she got reprimanded at work for wearing leggings that a manager thought showed off too much of her “backside.”

Giselle Thanh, who said she works in healthcare, posted a clip showing the outfit, which consisted of black leggings and a cropped sweater that covered her completely.

“My boss called me into her office saying a manager made a complaint about my work attire,” she wrote on the video.

“Apparently, my backside is showing too much, and it’s inappropriate.”

Thanh said she had worn the outfit many times and it had never been an issue before.

TikTok user Giselle Thanh claims her boss said she was showing too much backside.

“Leggings are allowed at my job but I was asked to change my leggings today,” she clarified in the comments, in which she did not specify where she worked.

Many other women chimed in saying the same thing had happened to them.

“This happened to me too at my job and my manager claimed that me and my friend got a lot of ‘attention’ from men, so unfair,” one user wrote.

“Sounds like somebody’s jealous,” added another.

It’s not the first time TikTok workers gave taken to the app to vent their frustrations over work attire restrictions.

Last week, a woman said her coworkers shamed her by telling her she isn’t dressing in an appropriate fashion for the office.
