Announcing one’s pregnancy with a grand display — and later shared on social media — has become a cliche at this point.
However, one expectant California woman had a really sweet idea to help reveal her pregnancy to her husband — by garnishing his ice cream sundae with her positive pregnancy test, as seen in a clip with over 7.9 million views.
“The sweetest but maybe the most gross pregnancy surprise,” Jasmine Chiswell, who lives in LA with her husband Maverick, announced in the retch-worthy clip.
In it, she can be seen making her husband an ice cream Sundae, adorning the frozen nosh with chocolate sauce, strawberries, and wafers.
Things take a turn, however, when she hides the electronic oven bun detector — which bears two blue lines denoting that she’s pregnant — in the confection, covering it with ice cream like a prisoner concealing contraband.
“Okay Maverick, we’ve got your ice cream,” Chiswell crows while carrying the frozen Trojan horse out to her unsuspecting hubby.
Despite commenting that it looks “terrible,” Maverick takes the Sundae and prepares dive in.
“It’s extra sweet and they put a nice little new extra surprise in there for you,” to which her other half, clearly suspicious of her claims, replies, “That makes me not want to eat it, what the hell is in here?”
Nonetheless, he reaches in and grabs the pregnancy test, proceeding to lick the ice cream off while inquiring “is this a wafer?”
This prompts his wife to yell “Maverick,” whereupon the “topping’s” identity finally dawns on him.
Maverick makes like he’s going to throw up by the sofa, before turning to the camera and remarking, “well, at least you’re pregnant.”
“I can’t believe he ate that,” Chiswell captioned the clip.
TikTok viewers were not really feeling her pee-covered pregnancy reveal with one aghast fan exclaiming, “U let him eat that and u peed on it.”
“You could have at least put it in a baggie,” remarked another, while a third wrote, “Congratulations, but why in his food?!”
“Please say this was a prank on us with a clean test,” pleaded one revolted viewer.
