Airplane passengers exhibiting bad manners belong in the slammer, says this fed-up flight attendant.
Between takeoff and landing, there’s an unspoken code of conduct to which frequently flyers should abide.
But when common sense fails, cabin crew member Cher Killough wants tactless trippers thrown in jail.
“Things that should be illegal to do on an airplane,” Killough, a five-year flight attendant based in Dallas, began in a TikTok tip-vid.
“No. 1 is manspreading,” she said of the squishy, space-invading trend. “Specifically, manspreading when you’re in a middle seat.”
The redhead deemed the offense — often committed by inconsiderate guys who cock their knees wide open while sharing a tight airplane row — “unacceptable” before firing off the other equally irritating in-flight infractions that, in her opinion, should warrant jail time.
And it’s far from the first time Killough’s aired out her air-travel grievances.
In May, the plane pro virally revealed the “most heinous, evil, diabolical” acts sight-seers commit, including boarding an aircraft while sick and vomiting all over the cabin.
And at the top of the year, she advised jet-setters against wearing shorts while at 30,000 feet, warning them they’d likely “freeze” due to typically low temps up in the sky.
But chilly legs should be the least of tourists’ concerns, according to Killough.
“Say we have an evacuation and you have to go down the slide,” she said, “Your butt cheeks are going to be sizzled off!”
And when it comes to her latest list of do’s and don’ts, Killough urges flyers to lay off their fancy (or funky) fragrances.
“Smelling like anything on a plane should be illegal,” the expert insisted.
“I don’t care if it’s good or bad,” she continued, “no one wants to smell whatever fragrance you decided to wear today — whether it’s body odor or a perfume or cologne.”
But Killough’s intentions aren’t to be a big stinker. Instead, she hopes to reduce the risk of mid-air sickness.
“It’s already an environment where people are prone to getting nauseous,” she explained, “so having an extra fragrance on top of that is just not a good mix.”
Lastly, she reinforced the unwritten rule against walking around a plane barefoot.
“There is no time that is acceptable to have your bare toes out in the cabin,” said Killough. “You seriously deserve to go to jail if you have your bare toes out when you go to the bathroom.
“I see this all the time,” she groaned, “and it should be against the law.”
