I’m an air travel expert — here’s why I always book the worst seat in coach as a passenger

This airplane hack will take you to new heights.

A travel influencer shockingly explained why he gladly takes what’s considered by many to be the worst seat on a plane — the back row, window seat as it’s typically the last to board and is downwind of the often ferocious lavatory.

John Burfitt prefers the controversial location ever since enduring a flight in economy where the passenger behind him had been kicking his seat without mercy, he wrote for escape.com.au.

The last row, which sits only in front of a walled area, could never cause such a problem, he boasted.

“In that instant, I decided the back row would be the only place I would sit on a long flight from now on,” Burfitt wrote.

“Sure enough, on my next flight, I booked into the back row of the cabin and, even better, my seat was the one right next to the window. As I nestled into that corner, I discovered what true airline love is about.”

He also bragged that such a seat never has to worry about getting clunked into by the beverage cart, plus the wall can support a sleepy and dozing head as well. And you get some measure of distance from the rest of the coach cabin without having to spend money on an upper class ticket.

Then again, taking the seat in stride could garner flight crew sympathy and a free upgrade.

“I had just found the best seat on the plane,” he bragged.

“I’m always astounded when other travelers call my favorite seat the worst seat on the plane, with a long list of whines. ‘But the back row has no recline?’ they cry. As a matter of fact, on most of [the] airlines I have flown, they do indeed recline.”

As for the bathroom situation, Burfitt says it’s nothing noise-canceling headphones won’t cure.
