Good things come in threes — and this threesome is living proof.
Triple lucky in love, when girlfriends Kenzie and Legacy opted to open up their relationship to a third partner in January 2022, neither knew exactly what to expect.
And since welcoming girlfriend Amber, who the couple met on a dating app, into their polyamorous fold, the all-female throuple has endured crashing waves of vitriol from virtual haters saying, “This will end badly” and “You’re going to hell.”
But rather than becoming defeated by digital digs, the ménage à trois has taken a trendy approach to shutting down trolls.
“First off, b- – -h mind your business,” sang the lovebirds in a popular TikTok post dedicated to their detractors.
In the clap-back clip, which scared up over 1.8 million views, Kenzie, 23, Amber, 26, and Legacy, 26 — based in Raleigh, North Carolina — responded to critics who’ve said, “You can’t be in love with two people.” The poly paramours titled the video “Throuple life” and stamped it with #Throuple, which has amassed over 1.4 billion TikTok views.
In a separate share, the women detailed how their three-way love came to be.
“Meeting Amber on Bumble BFF,” Legacy and Kenzie — who met in 2020 via X, née Twitter — penned in the closed-captions of the snippet.
“Then falling in love [with her],” they wrote.
Elsewhere, Legacy explained, “We were genuinely looking for friends when we met Amber,” prompting Kenzie to add, “we literally hung out one time and then never stopped hanging out after that.”
Amber agreed, saying, “It was just supposed to be a friend thing…But I matched with them, we met up and the rest is history.”
Kenzie went on to offer more insights into the formation of their nonconformist romance, adding, “We just spent a lot of time together … Over time, we’ll all just started kind of developing feelings.”
“It just got deeper and deeper,” said the brunette while snuggled on the couch with her honeys, “and here we are.”
And although the atypical triple-headers regularly receive a sprinkling of support from cyber spectators who cheer them on with comments like, “You’re living my dream” and “What a beautiful throuple,” doom and gloom-mongers often drown out the applause with rough rebukes.
“A throuple is not for me,” wrote a naysayer.
“This is straight cringe,” commented an equally repulsed killjoy.
“Hell no [I’d] get too jealous to have a 3-person [relationship]. Oh f- -k no,” said another sourpuss.
The cynical sneers are similar to those endured by Colorado-based throuple Alana, Kevin and Megan, who faced a storm of social media scrutiny after sharing scenes from their everyday lives as polyamorous partners on TikTok in December 2022.
Connecticut couple Steven Bolden and Priscilla Soares were, too, engulfed in viral hellfire after inviting girlfriend Daniella Masciola into their boudoir in May 2020. However, the outré babes simply chalk up the critiques as envy.
“I think a lot of hate actually comes from jealousy,” said Bolden.
But Amber, Kenzie and Legacy have made it clear that jealousy — from outsiders or within their relationship — has no bearing on their love.
“All good over here,” the girlfriends gang captioned a post celebrating their unbreakable bond.
