Madonna breaks silence amid health scare, postpones tour: ‘I’ll be back’

Madonna revealed she is “on the road to recovery” in her first statement since her hospitalization where she was intubated in the ICU.

“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement,” the 64-year-old “Vogue” singer wrote Monday in a statement posted to Instagram, along with a selfie.

“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour,” she added.

Madge was set to kick off her “Celebration” tour Saturday in Vancouver, British Columbia, but will now continue to recover from a bacterial infection that sent her to an NYC hospital on June 24.

Her longtime manager, Guy Oseary, previously revealed that her tour would be paused amid her health scare, but Madonna provided fans with an update on when she will be hitting the road.

“The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe,” she revealed.

Her first Europe date is currently set for Oct. 14.

Reps for Madonna directed The Post to her Instagram statement when contacted for comment.

The Material Girl’s statement comes after she was spotted by a fan over the weekend walking around NYC’s Upper East Side neighborhood.

Page Six reported that Madonna didn’t seem to have any trouble walking, but she did seem to take her time.

Her sighting came amid reports just last week that Madonna was “weak and very tired” and spending lots of time in bed.

Madonna has yet to address the report that she was allegedly administered an injection of Narcan when her “lifeless body” was found unresponsive in her home on June 24.

The medication is commonly used to rapidly reverse a narcotic overdose in an emergency but can also allegedly be used to combat septic shock.

There is reportedly no evidence suggesting Madonna overdosed.
