My boyfriend had a shocking secret — his friends and family all knew but kept it from me

A California singleton was shocked to discover she was sharing her ex-boyfriend with another woman. 

Laura Twyford, 19, found out about the secret after breaking things off with her then-beau because she felt he no longer had time for her.  

“Mister man was busy a lot, and it became a problem because he didn’t have time for me,” she chuckled in a viral TikTok video. “[He] didn’t have time for a relationship, right?”

And she was right: the two-timer was having trouble balancing life with two ladies on his arms.  

“My boyfriend was in an open relationship the entire time and never told me,” Twyford claimed to Caters News Agency. “When I found out, I realized all of his friends, family and girlfriend knew about it and hid it from me.”

The Eastvale, California, resident shared the revelation in the TikTok video with 8.4 million views, which was posted on April 23.

In the 2-minute, 51-second clip, she mentioned how she noticed a flirtatious interaction between her ex and another woman in the comment section of his social media post — just two days after the couple cut ties. 

“I got to the comments — tell me why someone commented ‘husband.’ So I’m, like, that’s weird,” she added in the clip.

Twyford started investigating the mystery woman — going “FBI s–t” — and learned the other gal had been in a three-year relationship with her ex and was her boyfriend’s best friend’s sister. 

“I realized that he would be with her [at] night while I was with him [in] the day,” Twyford said. “The things he said he was doing — he was actually with her.”

She was shocked to find out her former partner was dating someone else while being with her for several months. 

The 19-year-old thought she and her now-ex were both “head over heels” in love and shared a “movie love” connection. 

However, just like most rom-coms, the love was too good to be true. 

“I’ve been blowing up his phone — nothing — so I’m, like, I gotta tell this poor girl like I feel terrible,” she confessed. “I’m doing everything I can to contact her.”

Twyford attempted to confront her about their lying partner but received a response from her ex claiming he was in an open relationship with the other woman.

“She knew about me the entire time. All of his friends — everyone knew the entire time, and they all kept it a secret from me,” she admitted.

“I was getting played, not only by a man but by his girlfriend and all of their friends.”

Some online watchers were able to relate to the man’s betrayal. 

“The trauma! I also dated a guy whose whole family knew I was the other girl and said nothing. You really lose faith in humanity after that,” wrote one person.

“I would feel soo embarrassed,” added another.

Although Twyford couldn’t notice the relationship red flags, a private investigator specializing in infidelity can pinpoint things people should beware of when dealing with a swindling partner.
