‘Obsession’ is now streaming — Here’s how to watch at home

One of the biggest surprise hit movies of the year is making its way to streaming.

“Obsession” hit theaters in May and since, it has grossed over $370 million worldwide. The horror flick, from 26-year-old filmmaker Curry Barker, was made for just $750,000.

Barker, known primarily for YouTube sketch comedy, wrote, directed and edited “Obsession,” which served as his theatrical feature debut.

The logline for “Obsession” reads, “After breaking the mysterious ‘One Wish Willow’ to win his crush’s [Inde Navarrette] heart, a hopeless romantic [Michael Johnston] finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.”

“Obsession” is streaming on-demand on platforms like Prime Video now! The “Obsession” digital release date is today, June 29.

How to watch ‘Obsession’ at home

“Obsession” is available for digital purchase on Prime Video. The film costs $24.99 to buy or $19.99 to rent.

While you won’t have to be a paid Amazon Prime member to buy “Obsession,” you will need at least a free Amazon account; that way, you can return to watch “Obsession” whenever you want to.

If you choose the rental option, you’ll have 30 days to begin watching the movie and 48 hours of access once you’ve pressed play.
