He delivered pizza with a side of justice in 30 minutes or less.
A Pennsylvania pizza man served a slice of karma after literally tripping up a suspected carjacker while dropping off a pie.
Doorbell cam footage of the stuffed crust courier saving the day is currently blowing up online.
“I could see him get away from the cop and I’m like, ‘I’m right here, so I might as well do something,’” the real-life “delivery hero” Tyler Morrell, 29, told CBS News of his valiant act, which took place in Brookhaven.
The Cocco’s Pizza employee was dropping off a pizza when a 17-year-old suspect drove by in an allegedly stolen vehicle with police cruisers in hot pursuit.
Accompanying footage shows the teen and his tails speeding through a residential neighborhood as the pizza man stands on the doorstep with a pie in hand.
All of a sudden, the suspected carjacker plows into a pole, whereupon the teen gets out and tries to flee on foot.
That’s when 6-foot-8 Morrell sprung into action. As the perp ran by, the delivery hero stealthily stuck out his leg, sending the teen flying through the air — and all without dropping his pizza.
“I really tried to just make him stumble, so they can catch up to him, but I didn’t mean to send him flying, so that’s the craziest part of it,” declared the pizza man.
The police ended up arresting the suspect while the pie — a large half-plain, half-pepperoni — was safely delivered.
Authorities have since praised the slice-slinging Samaritan for his heroic deed.
“He saw the police and saw what was happening, and decided in that moment that he was gonna help us,” gushed Brookhaven police chief Michael Vice.
However, Morrell insisted that he’s not a hero.
“I honestly feel like I did what anybody else would do,” the pizza guy told NBC10. “That’s kind of how I’m feeling is, like, people think I did something extraordinary and I don’t really think I did.”
Despite Morrell heroics, Vice warned the public against intervening in active police chases.
“I understand the pizza ended up being delivered without any further incidents,” he said. “But, in all seriousness, we do ask people to not intervene. We do want to let the police handle it. But, in this case, it did work out.”
The Brookhaven Police Department even offered Morrell a job, but he pledged to continue working as a pizza man.
