Ryan Fitzpatrick and Aqib Talib are putting their differences aside.
At least Fitzpatrick is. Sort of.
The feud between Fitzpatrick and the former Broncos and Rams cornerback started after the Thursday Night Football host said the way Broncos quarterback Bo Nix played on Thursday night was “disrespectful” to the quarterback position.
Despite nailing a 17-14 overtime victory, Nix has been heavily scrutinized over the last four days as he finished the game completing 17 of 27 passes for 107 yards, as well as the Broncos producing only 32 yards of offense during their final 10 possessions.
Talib didn’t appreciate Fitzpatrick’s comments and came to the third-year quarterback’s aid by calling out Fitzpatrick on the show “Gridiron,” and called out Fitzpatrick’s success in the league.
On Sunday morning, Fitzpatrick decided to duet Talib’s video and posted it on X with the caption, “Just got off the phone with Aqib Talib…happy we were able to work thru our differences.”
The video opens with Fitzpatrick welcoming Talib and saying, “Hey Aqib, what’s going on dude? Long time no talk.”
Immediately after Fitzpatrick welcomes him, the video goes over to Talib’s original video where he says, “You are disrespectful to the quarterback position because you suck. Period.”
Fitzpatrick shockingly responds and says, “Me?” To which it goes back to Talib calling him out for playing for nine different teams during his 17-year career.”
“17 years! Me?,” Fitzpatrick says.
The video continues on with Talib mentioning his longest-tenured team in the NFL was with Buffalo when he played there from 2009-2012.
“His record in Buffalo as a starter was 19-35. That F—ing sucks,”
Fitzpatrick shockingly responds and says, “We won 19 games when I was in Buffalo?”
The video continues with Talib calling out his overall stats and says Fitzpatrick never sniffed a playoff game.
Fitzpatrick responds and tells him, “This is where I draw the line. In 2015, I was with the Jets. We were 10-5. All we had to do was beat the Bills, and we were in the playoffs. I think that constitutes as a sniff.”
The video continued on with Fitzpatrick having fun with the situation and jokingly responding to Talib’s comments about him.
